Forward Driver 1.jpg

This is the forward driver. The journals just have minor rust pits, no scoring. We will polish and see what they look like. The brasses are in good shape.
Notice lack of hub liners. This is the way it came apart. The back side of the left side wheel was rubbing on the spring pack. The number 2 and 3 wheels have
hub liners but they are worn out.

Lead Truck Journal 1.jpg

This is the lead truck. The journal box on this side is broken in two. The top was worn into by the journal. it looks like the bearing had been ejected at some point.
Eventually a bearing was installed and the broken journal box was shimmed with wood and steel shims.
