If you want to help the railroad, and spread the word, get the people you know to sign-up to get the periodic email newsletters from the C&TS. I just got one today and it had a nice photo and mention of the special 4th of July activities, plus the roll-out of engine 488 that everyone was discussing. Really well done to keep folks in the know on happenings and keep the C&TS in the thoughts of the readers.
I am not 100% sure how you get on the emailing list, but you might start with the website, or someone from the RR might chime in with more direct info.
