These "rubber" switches, are these in yard trackage or on mainline trackage?
All of the NZR switches that aren't interlocked by point rodding to either a switch motor, switchlocked lever or older Woods locks, are trailable spring-over type switches worked by the
patented Wynn-Williams spring lever. There were the older weighted points levers that required to be thrown over but at least these could still be trailed through without setting, just don't back up over them.
Just why you would want to have to get out and manually align a number of switches for a trailing movement run down a yard leg I don't know.
