Hi,
While I was in the hospital, I saw a TV show named Prospectors on the Weather Channel.
It was fascinating. Apparent all through the Rockies (including the Cripple Creek area), there are several (I do not know how many) teams of prospectors (sometimes as high as over the 13,000 foot level. That are looking for gem stones. It is fascinating to know that prospecting is still active in the Rocky Mountains.
I usually default to prospecting to Gold and Silver because of the railroad connections.
