And proud all of you should be, Jeff -
VERY well done! Like many on this board, I have driven by – and stopped to worship – #18 in the park more than once in the past 3/4 of my 3/4 of a century of existence, and never really thought I'd ever get to see her run. I sure hope you'll be able to make it out to Laws in September, and I'll be able to be there as well.

p.s. That "8" caught my eye, too. I presume the stencil was accidentally upside down – unlike the stainless-steel "S"-es on #2472's tender that Roger ??? deliberately installed upside down as a joke on Mike Mangini

pps. As long as we're nit-picking, I thought S.P. painted their smokebox fronts aluminium, not white – was it changed when she was placed in the park, or was white the standard on the narrow gauge?
