I guess I should have been clearer. So far as I know the former "dominions" are independent countries, although I'm not sure what was a dominion and what was something else (South Africa, Australia, etc.). In addition to the biggies there were and remain a bunch of what a railroad might call NEC places (not elsewhere classified) like the ones mentioned above, as well as Gibraltar, the Falklands, and lord knows what other ones. The Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are particularly interesting since as pointed out they are ruled by the Queen but are not part of the U.K. Kinda like the olds days of pounds, schillings, and pence, not to mention bob and guinea....it only made sense to the Brits.
Of course, that said, we Americans seem to be the ones determined to keep the silly system of miles, yards, feet, inches, and gallons.
