Photos will be up to the two men who are funding the project - this is their locomotive, not the Museum's, but since they are both board members, it will be stored here, demonstrated here, and we will all participate in its operations, but it's their project. They did take our Work Week participants up for a viewing last week, and all report that all is going well, it's just not good for photography yet - the first couple years of the project were devoted to making parts (can't build something until the parts are available), then assembly started from scratch. Several of the subassemblies have been sent to subcontractors - the drive wheels and axles are in Salt Lake City for assembly at this time and the cab's wood construction is being done offsite as well. The tender is nearly done, and assembly of the locomotive is progressing steadily. Photos will come in time, I'm sure. In the meantime, we are extremely busy with other important projects with time lines that relate to the locomotive, and the gentlemen paying for the build are also very active in the museum with other projects, including the 252. Both have now completed the fireman training in Chama. I'll post updates as milestones that are met are reported to me.
