That has triggered a memory from my Live Steam Days. A club member fired up his steamer for the first time and was out on the line. He could not figure out why he was feeling "rain drops" when it was a cloudless day. He got back to the steaming bays and then noticed his beautifully detailed smoke stack had melted on the inside.
