There are photos of the 472 on both the Shavano and the San Juan. According to Jimmy Blouch's trainsheet posts, the 479 was also used on the San Juan. It was send to Alamosa for shopping but not immediately returned to Salida. In its brief stay as an Alamosa-based engine it also ran to Farmington, Silverton and Santa Fe. Then it returned to Salida where it operated the last Shavano with Walter Runyan (1878-1941) at the throttle.
