Dirk asked about the change in color of the stack in the photo Brian posted. I suspect it is a photographic artifcact created in someone's scanning or printing. The negatives for that photo, and the related attached images are held in SVRR archives. Garrie Tufford borrowed the negatives years ago from Jim Grigsby and Laura Hayse, scanned them and created a set of edited images, which are the ones I have attached. Garrie was kind enough to provide our archives with a disc of the raw scans as well as the edited images. I checked the raw scans and there is no change in the color of the stack as appears on the image Brian posted. The shot of 19 with a straight stack is thought to be taken after it was repaired and repainted also having gone through the Jan. 1921 round house fire.
