Actually those photos of 0579 from that time period are not favorite. They have the wrong D&RGW logo! Needs to be the "flying Rio Grande", as all the historic photos that I have ever seen show the newer scheme on the two-window cupola. Had we realized when we started the restoration journey that 315 would be on the railroad so much, we might had considered the one window design (although that was one area of the caboose that was relatively intact when we starte)d.
Opus vs. Opua. Opua means I have used the entire 64 miles of railroad in excess. But for you guys, I'll change it. Leaving it there tends to generate the conversation to keepthis thread at the top of the pile on NGDF...
