Well, I could be wrong (obigatory disclaimer) but I don't think BCP's shot included the "Tearoom" itself, but rather the boxcar "depot" structure.
As it happens, I just finished reading Peggy Pond Church's "The House at Otowi Bridge: The Story of Edith Warner". If you're interested in the history of the area, Edith Warner and her Tearoom and its role in Los Alamos lore, the boys' school at Los Alamos or just northern NM in general, the book is worth a read. The author's father founded the Los Alamos school.
Not much on the Chili line itself, but a bit. Warning - this is as much (or more) a literary read as it is a history so YMMV, but it's a quick read and I quite enjoyed it.
