It's CWS. Chama Windshield Syndrome. Seems to affect one in three vehicles here, got my Suburban the first year, and that's the company GMC. I think it might be from pre-warming a vehicle for too long in sub-zero weather, but the cracking, in three stages, just blossomed while the vehicle was parked for the winter. I was -amazed- to find that the replacement cost at Safelite was only $214. I have our other company truck in my garage, out behind the house I rent on Maple Ave (about a block from the water tower). It's snowed in, but I'm almost afraid to look.

This is the miraculous truck that Craig McMullen donated in 2015 ('07 Duramax/Allison), that I make all the supply runs with. The Friends, mostly me, put 13K on it last year. Worth its weight in gold. I pay for most of the upkeep because I drive it the most.
