Brian,
I could not agree with you more. The Friends of the EBT, of which I'm a member, has done and continues to do an incredible job of restoring, stabilizing, and maintaining the structures and grounds in Orbisonia and Robertsdale.
In photo #2, notice the new wood across the front of the building on the far left.
In #3 the new wood replaced in the roundhouse roof
In #14 & #21, the well maintained grounds surrounding the Orbisonia Station and shops, including a manicured and great looking yard.
This is only the tip of the iceberg of work being performed current-day.
The building Brian speaks of that was once sinking into the ground and has been righted is very evident in these two images:
Before (leaning to the left and sunken):

It is not all doom and gloom; the speeders, including M-1, just ran on the mainline at the Friends Reunion on 10/8/16.
