In my research for modeling the Boulder, CO based Colorado & Northwestern Railway (later Denver, Boulder & Western), I have found that the passenger cars of the C&N (some being former D&RG tourist sleepers) were initially painted with the C&N logo at the center of the car (see photo enlargement below).
It appears that this lettering style did not last very long, maybe 1-2 years or even less, before the logo was removed. Does anyone have any further knowledge of how long the logo was used on passenger equipment?
