Based on the responses here. I assume the K1 has been out of production for many decades.
If there is no substitute that can be reworked (L1), is it worthwhile to consider making patterns for the K1 to allow possible future use?
Might not be a reasonable thought, but it is a thought.
Another thought:
Who owns the cars at Arboles? Maybe the air brake equipment could be received from them for the restoration of the existing equipment. Hand brakes are all they need.
How about the same deal for the stock cars at Dulce?
