I'll second that motion!
IMHO, a cloudy textured sky (not just a blah, gray overcast) can add a lot to photos, and having the light spread out decreases the harsh shadows - especially important for being able to see the rods & wheels below the running boards of a steam loco. And there's almost nothing better than sunset light on a train in the foreground and dark, stormy clouds behind! Great Job, Kevin!!
I had no idea that there was so much scenery along the GCRy, but that's probably because the upper end is essentially inaccessible to fans except for excursions like this one, and it looks like Pete did his usual excellent job of getting the train in the right place at the right time to take maximum advantage of available light. I sure wish that I could have been there!!
