C&TS dual gauge switch from the power plant in Alamosa. I think these are from the year after the switch was installed.

I recalled wanting to have the switch put into the curved loop next to the water tower when this discussion came up.

Notice that placing the dual gauge turnout would have been sort of easy to put on the loop and dual gauging the loop and to the "End of Standard Gauge" would have been easy by adding SG ties and rail (not more frogs). It would have allowed easy demonstration of the dual gauge idler car and the two D&RGW SG box cars.
