IIRC, per one of Dorman's books, Aztec was the busiest depot on the entire D&RGW at one time. There was a LOT of oilfield equipment and pipe coming in, and plenty of empties going out - see Earl's post below.

Roger was way ahead of me 'til a couple of years ago, but he's been so busy playing with his drone and chasing wildlife that I finally caught up. And your post count is way more than 1/3 of mine - 4003 vs 9805 is almost 41%, actually.
