We had a fake fireman, fake pilot (me) and fake wheel man. All doing their thing, or pretending to do so. The fun part to watch was the fireman who would dig for a scoop of coal, turn...CUT ..
....dump the coal out, move the camera to angle to catch the empty scoop going into the fire door, but not seeing into the dark firebox or seeing the fact the scoop was now empty.

I moved the hood back and forth a few times, peering out the windows into the supposed white nothingness. Someone played wheelman at the throttle and reverse lever. I think we put the gauges back in it. Don't remember if we moved the needles on the gauges to show any pressures though.

It kinda worked....Like I said, if you didn't REALLY know what was going on....

And he paid for it too.
