Great news that Lindsey Ashby’s RGS 0400 caboose will be getting some TLC from the Friends crew prior to use on the charters this fall. I guess sometimes things have a way of working out after all
One detail that would be neat to replicate for 0400 would be the cupola top signal box. If a replica was made with a metal base plate perhaps it could just “sit” on the roof with magnet attachments from the inside of the cupola roof. I think Jerry or Phil told me the original opening in the roof was just tar papered over. Or thinking ahead it might be possible to use this "portable" cupola signal box to "back date" the other cabooses (when needed) as well. Speaking of lights what is the plan to get some radial class lamps for 455?
Looks like there are several contributing projects that will support the RGS charter, I like the conversion of a rider box 202 back to box car 3537 and adding seats for inclement weather for excursions (Project 1294 with Don Bayer leading).
It looks like you and Clyde are going to be very busy getting equipment ready. Does this schedule include wheel set replacement for the UTLX narrow frame tanks?
