The idea of using saturated steam is to keep the cylinders cooler. Compressing the steam in the cylinders is already running the pressures up into the probably the 400+ pound region and heating things up to the point of lubrication failure. Using superheated steam will just make that worse. Besides, as I mentioned, in smaller quantities, saturated steam carries oil better.
