Clyde's remark is very astute. I was involved with Westinghouse R&D many years ago on an electric/electronic system which was basically
a modernized version of straight air with proportional control at each car. I breadboarded a triple valve using individual components to mimic
the operation of the valve and the mess took half a room! The other thing that always amazed me was the fact that the orifices didn't freeze up
in the triple or the retainer. I never could figure out why if you charged on a warm day and went up a cold hill that the dewpoint issue didn't just
freeze the whole system up, The triple valve is an amazing piece, stare at a cutaway of one and you'll go blind!
