That this is the cook car that was assembled from the remains of the first Como Hotel & Café after the latter was shattered by the avalanche of 1906 that nearly leveled the town - just look at the window sills and the hole in the roof that EXACTLY matches the location of the stovepipe from the original O'Keefe & Merrit coal-fired ten-burner stove that supplied endless bowls of Mulligan Stew to railroad workers and travelers alike prior to the infamous catastrophe.
