For those concerned about the large number of participants we are allowing, let me explain a little more on the exact plan.
So the plan is to form two groups. Group A rides on train A, group B on train B. Each train is completely separate from the other with the exception of a planned meet between the two trains at Alna Center. Once each train completes its run, the two groups will swap trains. Group B now rides train A, etc and do the run again with the only difference being the group swap. Cars and engines may be mixed as needed or as time allows. On Sunday we are planning on a two engine train with a rear end pusher like the original railroad once had out of Wiscasset. The plan here is that depending on the people will depend on how the runbys are done. But we will make sure to keep photo lines manageable even if we have two separate lines at two different spots. This will allow two different photo angles on a runby and make sure everyone can get a great angle. Sundays extension for yard shots will be organized in much the same manner. There is lots of room by the turntable to easily accommodate all of the photographers during the event.
This will most likely be the one and only time to photograph both #3 and #9 together in the winter.
If anyone has any comments or concerns please feel free to contact me here, or via
