Right you are, Charlie. The 4th car is former combine 212. The blanked out clerestory windows where the cupola had been located is the giveaway. Both 212 and baggage 126 were rebuilt in the winter of 77-78, so that dates the shot between 1978 and 1980.
One thing I noticed is old Carl is rolling right along here. The D&RGW had a permanent 8mph slow order between Rockwood and High Bridge. It seems to me that once the D&S started running the 480's they dropped the speed through here to 5 mph.
I'm probably one of the few who gets nostalgic for shots like this. This is the Silverton Branch I grew up with.....
