Thanks Stewart for the answer, we have a rail bender at Orange Empire and what a beast! I have watched it in operation bending rail for our Grizzly Flats turntable as well as the turntable built up at Folsom Ca. and it is one big mass of steel and whirling gears! That machine was built LONG before OSHA ever came into being, but it's fun to watch.
I ran into Dave Woven who was the project leader on building the Grizzly Flats T/T and asked him how much concrete we put into the center bearing foundation, and Dave said it took 25 yards. I doubt that big chunk of concrete is going anywhere soon. Thanks for all the great photos of your progress.
