Re: Operating rules for switches

Many railroads have operating rules that require the trainman to cross the track after lineing the switch and be on the other side of the switch stand for the passing of the train, just to prevent the quick change of alignment infront of a train. All these rule questions can go on forever but one only need to just read a rule book available for sale at any good train show. And they are not expensive.
