Not to hijack this thread, but much thanks for posting the video of the four Hueletts in operation at the Cleveland Lakefront Dock. For several seasons in the late 1950's I shipped as an AB Seaman on the M.A. Hanna ore boats which typically brought iron ore from upper lakes ports to that dock. Typical load was 18,000 or so tons, and at 17 tons a bite those Hueletts could unload a ship in 4-5 hours. Not much fun if that's the only time you could get ashore, but the Detroit Ave. bars were close. Only real problem was, if the ship was then due to go to the C&O dock at Sandusky to load coal for an upper lakes power plant, we had to go down into those mammoth holds and use high-pressure hoses to make sure no ore could end up in the coal. Awful way to sober up.
