Re: Oahu Excursion Train

I visited Oahu in January 1997 and took several hours of video, no photos, sadly, as my old Pentax was jammed. They are 8mm and I dropped the camera there, pieced it back together but never quite got it working right. Recently bought another 8mm camera at a garage sale for $1 and am looking at cheap digital converter cables so hope to be able to review and share them soon.

I went there on an invitation to do two weeks of volunteer work and really knew nothing about Hawaiian railroads. Imagine my shock when I stumbled on some 3' gauge tracks in Ewa Beach on a stormy day! Spent the whole weekend chasing tracks and interviewed some volunteers at the depot.
