Rich & Rich -
As Roosso (muy) Loco noted a year or two ago, per Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Tenth Edition (1999)
"pronghorn : a ruminate animal (Antelocapra americana) of treeless parts of western No. America that resembles an antelope — called also
pronghorn antelope". Since the scientific name of the critturs - 'Antilocapra' - is a combination of the Latin words for 'Antelope' and 'Goat', not 'Prairie' and 'Goat', IMHO neither of you is entirely correct.
In any event I presume that grilled 'prairie goat' tastes better than grilled 'prairie dog', but will leave it up to the two of you to perform the appropriate comparison and report the results here on the NGDF. (SFAIK, indulging in limited quantities of either K.B. Hall's Old #500 Industrial Strength Red Table Wine or GRAMP
S Chromo Crude Triple Chocolate Stout in conjunction with these tests is not prohibited by law.)
- Sincerely,
Willie (Wm. Claude Johnson-Barr III, Esq.)
