Yes, I definitely agree. It's the landowner across the road as I understand it, with a further 2 miles of empty ROW just out of reach as a result -- all the way to Bragg's Corner at MP 21.4 I believe. (To be clear, if the man doesn't want trains running across his property then he's got every right to say no, even if we railfans may object.)



Of course, the other option would be to go in the other direction -- rebuilding the P&R covered bridge and then cross Main Street to access the original Phillips depot and yard. (Yes I know it's unlikely to happen without a huge influx of money, but one can always dream.)
