I have attached a copy of the 1903 Sanborn map of S. Baker. The north end of the wye is off of the map, but you can see how it was layed out. I think it likely that the wye would have been built pretty early in order to turn the passenger consist at the Baker end of the line. As you can see from this 1903 map, the round house and turntable had not yet been constructed. The 1911 map which I have not posted, does show the round house and turntable. The next two document show the retirement in 1941 of the round house and turntable. The final two documents show the turntable used to replace a bridge on the Powder River near MP12.
In answer to your question about SVRR using the the S.Baker facilities, I don't believe they used the remaining buildings, but did erect their own building in the old S.Baker yard for the initial restoration of the WHEccles Heisler. This building was later dismantled and reassembled at our McEwen site and now serves as our car shop. Some rail and switch parts were salvaged in S.Baker and used in the construction of track in our McEwen yard. One long time member told me that the switch parts used for the switch to the east of the our water tower for the car shop lead were from one of the S.Baker 3 rail switches.
