In all fairness, I think the concept of the book was to cover the tail end of the freight era and no steam or rotary action was going on, then. I just wish I'd known that going in, as I was expecting a slightly different book than this. For example, their book on the Strasburg covers the entire history of that tourist RR. That's for the most part of what I expected, even going so far as to hope for color shots from the steam era (which,
has to exist somewhere). Instead, we get pretty much the early 80s.
Don't get me wrong,
I still would have bought the book even if I'd known it was about the 1970s-80s timeframe only, but I hope there'll be another one eventually covering timeframes other than this.
