Re: Missing Photos

The first photo from Jeff Chittick's collection may have been the one that started the discussion referenced. This was taken in Sep. 1946 and is looking west past the depot. I wonder if the depot was manned this late as shut down of the railroad was just around the corner? The second shot is early from an unknown source. Notice that the depot was extended on the freight end at some point as can be seen comparing the late shot with the early one. Also the early one shows the water tower near the depot. A new water tower was eventually built east of Whitney next to Camp Crk.
