I suspect they are normal frogs and the flanges are on the normal side of the car wheels. If the rail on the viewers side are higher than the rails on the far side the rails will appear continuous. That is why railroaders sometimes don't spot broken rails. I still have to wonder why they didn't build a standard 3-way switch? JP
