Hi,

I think this is a great experiment on ways to try to live with a lower impact on the environment. There have long been laws that prevent development of flood plains since they help retard the speed of water when flooding occurs. If money is an issue, how about removing the subsidies for tobacco farmers?

Environmental terrorists (or extremeists) like to spike trees with nails to prevent logging. Why have they not tried to purchase the land in question and leave it Au Naturale? That would be the free market approach.

A very interesting more middle of the road approach. Thanks to Lynn and others who are trying it.
