Folks- One thing I totally missed the first pass by was that "MANTUA IS BACK"- i.e. in Model Power form.
I have contacted them a few days ago to find out "What the rest of these engines are they are reintroducing?" It seems to be a secret (along with pricing (see latest edition of MR)- so I wrote them by email. Again, let's see what they have. They may be "hungrier" than MDC. I like Eric's idea about Bachmann- they put out some real nice, reasonably $ engines (just take a gander at their new 10 wheeler). And someone mentioned Proto's Heritage series, too. Idea- let's have some volunteers- can someone start bugging Bachmann (Eric?) and someone take Life-Like/ Proto? I'll keep after MDC, since I've started that. After awhile, maybe we can switch off and give them fresh faces.
Maybe we've started something here!
