Any Such Thing As A "reasonably $ " HOn3 2-8-2 kit

May 06, 2003 12:23PM
I have moved into HOn3 modeling within the last year, after spending some time in HO std gauge. I'm sorry to sound naive, but I can't help thinking there must be someone out there who has a narrow gauge powered "Mike" for about $100. I can't believe my only choices are 1. Modify a Roundhouse HOn3 2-8-0 (I already built the outside frame model and it runs nice! I love it!). 2. Spend upwards of $300 to over $1,000 for imported brass, or 3. Start bugging MDC to tool up to make some Mikes!
Does anyone know 4rth option?
