Dave, if you have Dorman's book on Durango, see p. 126. It has a roster of the standard gauge engines used on the Farmington branch.They were apparently disassembled in Alamosa and hauled to Durango in pieces and reassembled there. P. 124 of Dorman's book shows a photo of the Durango crew assembling a standard gauge locomotive in 1915 and also #225, a narrow gauge C-16 with dual-gauge couple pockets, in use as the Durango switcher in 1920. I don't believe any narrow gauge locomotives were converted to standard gauge specifically for use on the Farmington branch. -- Ed
