Admoor Hotel / Cheyenne Mountain complex sold the train for $1, or perhaps donated it outright as a tax deduction, to the City of Telluride circa 1974 at the behest of a member of the Tutt family (John?) who was living there at the time. There had been hopes to refurbish Motor ("Goose") #4 for use - along with the zoo train - in providing transportation into town from a parking lot to be located out at the junction in order to relieve the traffic congestion anticipated to result from development of the ski area. Of course this was just a beginning, and additional equipment would have soon been needed. Alas, a rail transit system never came to the Zoo that is now To-Hell-You-Ride - but the traffic congestion certainly did
