Thanks so much for your response, Mr. Ferrell!
I went back and re-checked the pages of my copy of the '05 LM&I Annual, and just as you said, there are the photos of operations at the new South Cable Tower ... I even had the pages bookmarked with post-its ...
... guess that will teach me to have all my reference material in one place so that I can cross reference everything as needed! Do you have any idea what the purpose was for the extra, extended structure on the west side of the tower house might have been? I also noticed that the North Cable Tower had a single pull-back cable running through the structure and out to the carriage, but the South Cable Tower had two cables entering the structure, but only one that went out to the carriage (at first I thought it might be two, which I can wrap my head around, but the two in and one out has me thoroughly confused!)
I have heard that a handful of fellows had modeled the tramway, back in the '70s and '80s, but have not yet found the issues of the magazines that featured them ... if any of those modelers are on here and can share some pics, or if anyone can direct me to those magazines, that too would be extremely helpful and very appreciated!
Thank you, again, Mr. Ferrell! As I mentioned above, it was your article in that '05 LM&I that started me on this whole adventure, and ultimately got me into NG modeling (On30 is my chosen scale) ... I am trying to complete my collection of of both the LM&I and the Narrow Gauge Annuals, and I am in awe of and extremely grateful for your vast knowledge of railroading and your willingness to share it ... I would sure like to meet you one day and shake your hand! 'Til next time ...
CHEERS!
