Michael and everybody else,
We are now inspecting #168 in order to determine what will have to be done to put it in service. Because the flues are still in the boiler we did a preliminary hydrostatic test. The boiler was tested to the standard 125% of operating pressure. No leaks of any kind were found. These flues were installed prior to its last use by the Rio Grande in 1935, 81 years ago. They will now be cut out as required so the interior can receive a through internal inspection.
