Re: Elitch's train

I recall riding the G16 train around 1958. There was one of the Bill Daney diesel trains there also, but I never saw it run. By1964, that had been replaced by the Chance CP Huntington that ran on a different route. There were also some newly added rides, including an aerial tram. The old Elitches was a nice place, with a classy ballroom, once visited by big bands. I understand there are condos there now. Apparently, they had a steam 4-6-0 at an earlier time. These were made by a Denver builder, who also sold at least one in Kansas City also . Unfortunately, I can't remember his name at present.
