The problem, Rich, is that the NMC never built its roundhouse in Santa Fe! Although it is shown on some D&RG drawings, the NMC records show that only the turntable was ever installed. If ever there was a railroad running on a shoestring, it was the SFC. They had so little money that they resorted to pinon ties and similar economies. At one point, they had only four employees maintaining their locos and cars.
