Hey, Virgin EC train or not, at least he had sunlight! Unfortunately my employer wouldn't have considered going railfanning as a valid reason for skipping the meetings they sent me here to attend, so I didn't get to see the Scotsman until this morning. It's still a beautiful engine any way you cut it, even if it is under typical cloudy, dreary British skies.

The National Railway Museum in York is truly a sight to behold. I spent almost the whole day wandering around the place, and it was absolutely packed. I write this headed back to London behind one of those accursed die-seas-els. It really surprises me that both the train to and from York have been remodeled Intercity 125 diesel sets, given that we're running under 25kV overhead the whole way.
