I just received a copy of the valuation maps from the Colorado Railroad Museum today. I was curious to see how well the present day mileposts line up with the maps. Me and my 5 year old daughter hiked from Cumbres over to milepost 330 during our fall visit. I recorded the position of the milepost and the switch near by. The image below shows the position of these overlayed on the aerial photo. It looks pretty darn close to the map. The milepost is the lower point and the switch is the upper.
