I looked at some color slides that I shot in Denver in 1959 when 268 was on display at the capital. I also looked at a slide shot by Al Chione in 52.
The dome rings are brass. The flanger is silver. Can't see the top of the deck on any of the photos, but the edges are silver, so the top probably is too.
I am in the final stages of writing a history of 268 for the Prospector Magazine that will be published in the fall issue.
