I have to admit I left out some details on my original post. Denver International Airport (DIA) has three concourses ( A, B, and C) which are actually separate buildings connected by an underground "train" (Westinghouse Sky Bus design heritage). I've been passing through DIA a lot this year and during the Summer months I noticed that at the inbound "train" platform on concourse C there were about 7 - 8 wall sized photos of attractions in the Golden area with enticement to visit Golden. One of these was a recent photo of 318 at the CRRM. It was 318 at the end of the track overlooking the Denver Garden Railway Society Layout, well after her operating days were over and after she had the cosmetic restoration done. The same location she sits at today and where RGS #20 sat for many years. What caught my attention was the white cloud or smoke directly over the stack in a mostly blue sky. It appeared to be under steam. On one occasion I asked the folks around me waiting for the "train" if they thought it was a cloud or smoke. The most common answer was smoke. I never took a photo of the picture and since my daughter was passing through DIA today, I asked her to do so. She reported that none of the Golden photos remain. So the display has been removed. I believe it was there when I passed through twice in October. However I admit I was too busy trying to get home to notice on my most recent trip. This is an area open only to ticketed passengers and the display was intended to promote Golden attractions.
I liked the photo and I support any efforts to draw people to Golden and the CRRM.
My intention was to get other's opinions about the photo and how it was done (photo shop or perfect timing of a single cloud). At this point I'm wondering how many people even noticed the photo.
