Hi,
I see a problem I missed. I did not check about the open office conversion to the PDF file. I use an old DOS based spreadsheet then exported to CSV (comma separated values) format to import to Open Office. Sorry about that.
The great narrow gauge movement tthat occured about 1870 (see Hilton) was not the beginning of narrow gauge. It was hype over trying to get a narrow gauge trunk (i.e. TC&StL) and/or using narrow gauge as low cost feeder branch liines to the mainlines(Southern Railway predicessors). Narrow gauge existed before the D&RG but was just an uncoordinated hapenstance that sort of started out from all insular railroads not needing to care about interchange.
The Colorado & Southern locomotives were built to 36" narrow gauge.
I would be willing to offer the raw CSV files to anyone who wants one if someone else would like to host the CSV files for downloading.
